The Drone Build Process

Building a drone capable of autonomous package delivery was an exciting challenge. The process involved careful planning and research, facing challenges building the drone and finally testing the drone.

Flight Controller & ESC

The Flight Controller (FC) and Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) are in a stack, and it is responsible for controlling the motors and acts as the brain of the drone.

Motors

Brushless motors which provide the thrust needed for the drone's flight.

Camera

Used for real-time monitoring during flights, essential for navigation.

Receiver & Video Transmitter

The receiver communicates with the controller to receive inputs and the Video Transmitter (VTX) transmits the live video from the camera.

GPS Module

Handles autonomous navigation, allowing the drone to fly from its starting point to its destination autonomously.

Action Camera

Captures high-quality video footage during the flight for documentation and visual analysis.

Package Carrying System

Designed to securely hold and transport packages during the drone's package delivery, securely attached to the drone frame.
